Hi everyone, I am planning to settle down in Malimono soon. But after a few visits, I realised that majority of the people are kinda intimidated by spoken english. So i figured that I should learn bisayan so to better communicate with everyone. Atleast minimise misunderstandings and reduce the stress I cause.

Anyone can recommand a good tutor who will be able to teach me how to atleast hold a conversation? Any help would be greatly appreciated, oh... I think i should mention that I'm a Singapore Chinese with no problems with english....

The dictionary here at Binisaya.com is hands-down the best online dictionary I have ever seen for any Filipino language!

I was wondering if any thought has been given to applying the algorithm for the dictionary to other Visayan languages. Because the grammar is similar for most Visayan languages it should be fairly straightforward, albeit non-trivial.

I am fluent in Hiligaynon and Cebuano and have some proficiency in Kinaray-a and Aklanon and would love to see a Binisaya.com-style dictionary for these other languages and am happy to help as I have time. There are some excellent sources, such as the Zorc Aklanon dictionary and the Kaufmann Hiligaynon dictionary (which include Kinaray-a vocab too) that could be leveraged for vocabulary and grammar.

I am an engineer by profession, so I could help with programming as well. Let me know if any of you are interested.

Please help me with understanding the typing of "DHA" and "CYA" in conversations.

The conversations I'm trying to translate include a lot of "DHA" and "CYA," i think i know the common meaning of these terms but i am really unsure now as it is used in most conversations to a lot of different people. I will try give some example below:
